A key secret to succeeding in life...

There is no one secret that can be passed from one person to another, that will guarantee or prove successful for every person. This is not a "one size fits all" kind of life (awesomely cool really!). However, having said that, I have found there are some key ingredients which, when added to your overall mix, most certainly add together for having the highest possible chances.

One of these things is looking at the list of things you wish to achieve, from the biggest (reaching thousands with my words of healing and message of love, having children and parents read my stories and discovering the magic within) to the smallest (getting the laundry done and my four year old pixie in bed at a decent hour) and then make some decisions.

Your time is NOT an infinite resource, each moment in time is quite precious and should be treated as such. Making decisions about how you prioritise your time and therefore the things that are the most important to you, is a great way to start ensuring that when you spend time on things they are important things and that you are maximising the time you spend.

There have been times I have been so wrapped up in being supper Mumma, in having home baked goods for the lunch box, having a spotless and ordered house, and being extra super organised about getting us here, and being there etc.  I often find, during these times I am pleased with my "Superness" and yet, these are the times that, when my little one goes to bed, I realise we didn't do much playing, or spending time together.... *REALLY sad face* In short, I realise my prioritising of my time did NOT match with the things I feel are most important, and I feel awful!!!!!

I look at my time as a commodity, valuable beyond compare (and the time of others also). My "to do" list is filled with things I feel are the most important, and this is updated daily to change with my changing priorities.

With this, there are also a LOT of things that I have NO time for, refuse to make time for, and account no priority to at all....

Complaining about "stuff"
Negativity
Self-Doubt
Things I have no control over and am powerless to change.
Worry
Stress
Nastiness

...and a whole heap more, but I know you get the point *smile*

If you don't feel as though you are walking fast enough towards you goal, have a GOOD look at where you are spending the very precious commodity of your time and see if making a few changes might not improve matters.

After all, the clearer you set your intentions and focus on those things you wish to see more of, the faster the universe acts to create the opportunities you need.

Persistance

One of the key factors I recognised on my unplanned "sabbatical" has been the power in persistence.

Not one of the people seen as achieving all of their worldly goals and reaching for the starts has got there on the first go...really. If there has been someone, I am completely unaware of them *smile*

Putting my intentions forward, safeguarding my dreams, making plans and taking steps is WONDERFUL,  but it all comes to nought if I am willing to give it all up at the first sign of difficulty.

As an early example in my life; I became pregnant with my first son at the age of 19, unwed, having only just begun my university studies, in an extremely devout catholic family...not a great place to find myself *wry grin* I was told I had, "ruined my life" by multiple people (not all my family members, I thought I should clarify) and that there was no use in planning for a future......

Hmmmm..... nope, that option is not for me thanks.

So, things were a LOT different from the plan I had formed and the dreams I envisaged for myself. Things that were easy became a little harder at times, but I simply would NOT relinquish my goal.

Sure, I made some adjustments, took a slightly different road, had some different choices and forks in the road than I may have had if things were different...but this did not change my end goal...and so, I persevered. No matter how hard, no matter how tired, no matter how broke, or how disaffected I felt, I just kept putting one foot in front of the other until I got there six long years later...and ooohhhh, the satisfaction!

With perseverance, I had two amazing things instead of the originally planned one; I had my degrees for the career I am passionate about...but more importantly, I had with me a gorgeous, beautiful, amazing child!!! Wooohoooo, two for the price of one *laugh*

Bottom line is, if the goal you set in your purpose, if it is what you truly want with your whole heart...then persevere, because if you are willing to give up when the going gets a little rough, well then, perhaps the goal was not what you really, really desire??? If it is, then keep taking those steps, don't give up, because the next step may be the one that leads you to the end zone.

Seriously exciting and energising stuff

Firstly, let me offer my apologies for my prolonged and unexpected absence. There are moments in time for writing, moments in time for growing, for listening, for changing, for thinking for feeling etc. I write these posts from my heart, as I am guided to do. I never intended for there to be such a long absence between postings, but hey...you gotta do what you've gotta do...and what I had to do was to grow... *smile*

So many different things have been happening over the last month or so, chapters closing, doors opening, a new story burgeoning (seriously exciting) and growth for me as a person.

I have taken a lot of time on my own to delve into the direction I wish to take and to feel my way through some obstacles.

I have discovered many secrets to being a better me, and have also learnt some more about healing myself of hurts both past and present.

Don't worry, I will most certainly be sharing these things with you over time...trust me, it's too much all at once *laugh*

The one thing I focused a lot of energy on and spent a great deal of time in contemplating and talking to the team about was/is the direction I am currently taking. I set my intentions for the year we have burst into all of a sudden, and am walking that path already.

It was quite a simple process really, although at the time it seemed magnificent and huge *wry grin* as I suppose all things just recently remembered seem to be.

I sat myself down in a quiet spot with pen and paper and wrote my way through the year that had been; the heartaches, the trying times, the lack of understandings, the joy, the sorrows, the uplifting and the moments that seemed to drop out from underneath me. I wrote and wrote and wrote. Page upon page of the year that was poured forth. In short (sort of *wry grin*) I sat down and wrote myself a letter about the journey travelled. I couldn't help but feel uplifted by the number of pages pouring out of me. The fact that some of those pages detailed some not so pleasant moments was/is irrelevant ..I thought to myself, "Just look at how much I experienced!"

I set that letter aside, no need to read it further, I lived it after all. Having put aside the moments that I had already walked through, I looked to the moments to come and set my heart on a mission. The journey? Who am I....

On small pieces of paper, I wrote actions that the me I wish to be would take, for example, "Choose to forgive even though no apology was offered," and "love unconditionally and without stopping to discover if the other is worthy." and other such things. This is the person I AM, I told myself. This jar of papers are my self guide, in moments when the way doesn't seem as clear as it does now, I will be reading those pieces of paper to remind myself and put me back on the path.

I then decorated a second jar titled "2013". While I would love to take the credit for this one, I didn't come up with the idea *smile* it came from a Facebook message. This jar started with nothing in it, however, as a beautiful, wonderful, magical experience happens to me throughout the year, I will be writing it on a piece of paper and popping it into that jar. As the year progresses, the jar will continue to fill and then this New Year's Eve, I will open the jar and relive all the magic of 2013 and rejoice...great place to end and to begin.

Three small things that I could accomplish with relatively small amount of effort that have acted to propel me into 2013 with freshness, rejuvenation and hope....FANTASTIC way to begin.

A lot of stuff happening on the work front too (my real work that is...the work of being a light bringer *laugh*) and a lot of exciting things to follow here *does a happy dance, clapping her hands and singing a tune*

I would love to hear the events that have bought you into this new moment...feel free to share.

With extreme amounts of love and light

P.S. If you feel like a dose of unconditional love right now...feel free to pop in on the new facebook page run by myself and an amazingly angelic fellow light bringer called "Love Bubbles" https://www.facebook.com/pages/Love-Bubbles/405815306169457?fref=ts

Impossibilities and blocks

I was really surprised one day recently when someone said to me, "How do you do everything you do and do it well? I mean, where do you find the time?" I was surprised because I didn't really understand the question.

When I thought about it later, I think I understood what they were trying to get at. It seems, I suppose, that at times I work miracles because people don't always see the work that goes into something. I guess as well, that because I seem to do a "lot" of things all at once (author, illustrator, mother, full time teacher, faery lady at the markets...all of that) that I wouldn't have time for myself or time off etc. I am just guessing here, but I think that was the reason for the questions this person was asking me.

My answer? Well, either I don't listen to, or no one told me that, doing all of these things at once was/is impossible.

I decided to do these things, and just set about making them happen because I was unaware, that to most people, this seemed like an impossible task.

All of the limitations and boundaries that people have (myself included) come from a belief that something is not possible. They are human constructs, brain and ego acting in concert to keep us in our comfort zone because it's "safe" there.

The truth is, that once you have set your intentions on a goal, a particular destination or a set of circumstances, the entire universe will align in order to help you reach it. No blockages, no boundaries...nothing is impossible...unless of course you believe it is.

I can do what I do because I don't think about the fact that most people think it is impossible!

What's it worth to you?

There have been times when my journey along the life path I have chosen has been stalled. The excuse? "I don't have the time I need." I do so many things; I am a teacher, a mother, a healer, just me, I grow my own food, I am an artist, a sister, a house cleaner (my own that is....sometimes *smile*) all of these things, and I have definitely been guilty of doing ALL of these things BEFORE doing anything else.

Someone once commented to me, "You would need several life times to do all of the things you want to do." True, can't argue with that.

However, doing all of these different things doesn't actually prevent me from following my true life path and fulfilling the purpose for which I contracted in this life time. In theory....

What happens is, at times, I allow a lot of things to become a priority that aren't, I don't respect my own boundaries and say "no" even when I really want to, I allow other people to dictate the terms of how I spend my time, and I get suckered into procrastinating with things like looking through all the positive images on people's Facebook pages, reading a good novel, playing tetris (I really should uninstall this from my computer *laugh*) and a myriad of other, pleasant, yet distracting things.

When I find this happening, I ask myself one simple, yet effective, question, "What's it worth to you Roxanne?"

If the answer is that the particular activity I have been actively NOT doing is really important, then it is a matter of prioritising everything so that the majority of my time is spent doing that thing, whatever it may be. This includes, most importantly, time to just be me.

I wondered today actually, where the joy had gone. Sometimes, it seems not to be there because I am focusing all of my time on stuff I "should" do, rather than on stuff that brings love and joy to my heart. There HAS to be a balance between the two to my way of thinking.

Sometimes the things we think we "should" be doing are more important, why? The answer is because we are afraid of what people might say or think if we don't do them. My question to myself is the same, "What's it worth to you Roxanne?" with an amendment on this as well, "Why exactly, are you worrying about what OTHER people think or say?"

You live YOUR life in YOUR way and using YOUR priorities regardless of the opinion of others, and pretty soon you get everything done in the right order, at the right time, and also (IMPORTANTLY) maintain the joy in life too.

If nothing changes

Have you ever heard that saying, "If nothing changes...then nothing changes." ? Another way I have heard the same thing said is, "If you always do what you've always done, then you will always get what you have always got." It all amounts to the same thing though...it comes back to the fact that we have a choice about everything, and if we keep making the same choices, and never take a chance on making a different one, then the outcomes will be the same.

I have made many, many, many different choices in the last few years. I have taken a different road every time, I have jumped in with both feet, I have decided to choose forgiveness over bitterness and anger...so many things that I have chosen "differently' for in the last few years, and yet, I find today that there are some actions that I keep repeating.

For me, this has highlighted that while I have made the changes in small gradual steps in order to change my life and still be within a certain measure of comfort, there comes a time (which for me is now *smile) where for MAJOR difference, a MAJOR change in choices is required.

Time for a life review then...smile.

So I am looking today at all the things I love and cherish and all of the things that I am not all that fond of in my current life, and how I would see that changed to better suit my current needs. I have looked at all aspects with honesty and purity and set my intentions for a future I am constantly manifesting, but which has not yet come to fruition (well not fast enough for my liking anyway *wry grin*)

All this is well and good for the moment I am sitting in my sacred space, surrounded by pure love energy, not impacted upon by any other being except in a positive and loving way...but very soon, I will make the choice to leave this space, and once again enter a reality where other's are involved...what then?

So here;s how I am deciding to deal with that...

I have asked my team to back me up, reinforce my words and give me a REALLY STRONG (because I can be a bit stubborn) impulse to follow the new path I have chosen, rather than following in the deeply grooved path of habit. I have written little signs to go in key places that remind me of the choice I have made and my intention to do what is right for me within this new choice. Finally, I have told all of my trusted friends of my new choice and willingly given them permission to call me up and check on my progress, as well as give me a firm, human nudge (*giggle*) if I falter in my resolve or find myself loosing focus on my intentions. I have also told my brain to "stay out of it" since it's a bit lazy and would rather continuing to do what it has always done.

Love yourself, choose your path, set your intentions, call for back up from the divine, the stride forward with your head high!

What is your motivation...

If I had to come up with only one reason why people (me included *smile*) have not yet reached the goals and dreams they aspire to, it would be that they do not have sufficient motivation.

If you are wondering then, why you seem to be "doing all the right things" and working steadily, step by step towards your goal, and yet...nothing seems to be happening, it might be a really valuable exercise to stop and check your motivation.

Many things motivate us...the majority of people either move towards an experience they feel is pleasurable, or they move away from something that is painful. While this is really true, it is a bit of an over simplification of most of our situations.

For example, keeping on in a job that is not good for you, makes you miserable, doesn't inspire you all for the pay cheque could seem to be simply avoiding the 'painful' situation of not having any money. In reality though, it could be fear of breaking all ties, discomfort at having to find alternative employment, a lack of faith in yourself and your divine team, fear of taking a risk and all those other things that may or may not go along with this situation. So...not so simple!

However, one thing I know is that with the right motivation, ANYTHING is actually possible.

We've all heard the stories of people lifting cars off another person to save their life, the man who cuts off his own leg that is trapped under a landslide in order to crawl to safety, the person trapped underground for three weeks who survives. What do they all have in common? Sufficient motivation to take action!

A key step in creating success is knowing (and keeping clear in your mind) what your motivation is for working towards a particular goal. It is when the motivation becomes cloudy or hazy, and our focus slips, that we start to see road blocks.

Breathe fire into your soul....

I have had moments where nothing seems to matter; not me, not my job, not my kids...nothing. I still go about my routine, I play with the kids, go to work and complete the jobs I have to do there, make dinner, clean laundry...all that stuff. But it doesn't seem to mean anything in that moment. That is not to say I don't care about anything, more like I am just drifting through things...an in between place.

I have taken to interpreting these moments as "defrag" a computer term. When you defrag your computer, you are shutting down access to normal functioning (computer can't do anything else or process anything new) while all the "gaps" in the system are fixed. That's an oversimplification, but it fits *smile*

So my brain, body, heart, soul kind of secrets itself away to a comfy hermit hole allowing my physical self to go on with what needs doing, but disallowing any emotional input until all the 'gaps' have been filled/fixed.

I don't become overly concerned with this state unless it continues for a really long time.

The thing that always brings me out of this state is an experience, a thought, an event or a person that has breathed the fire of passion back into my soul. You know the types of things I'm talking about don't you? Something that makes your blood sing and your soul resonate on a whole other level. Something that makes you want to dance and sing spontaneously, something that makes you want to rejoice, go out and take action, draw others in through your enthusiasm. Something that enlivens you so much, that you have no choice (except we know other wise *smile*) but to do it.

Finding these "things" is an essential part of nourishing and renewing your soul...and all you need do, is ask. Ask your divine team for an outcome that helps to breathe fire into your soul.

In a moment of defrag, fatigue, soul weariness, it only takes a moment to ask your divine team to lead you to really see what makes your blood sing with the passion of purpose.

Then...jump in with both feet and don't look back *laugh*

Set a goal...take a chance

At the moment I have been a little frustrated with "divine timing"; code word for having to be patient and wait while all things are in place and all that is left is for the moment to arrive. Angelic and divine timing is not quite as quick sometimes as my human expectations *laugh*

Sometimes it feels as though I am halted, slowed down to a crawl or just no going anywhere at all. Usually these moments are when I am being the instruction to "just be" and let things unfold and live in the flow of the now. Which is easier said than done with a super efficient, super organised and slightly obsessive compulsive personality like mine *smile*

I take these times and moments to reflect and reset (where necessary) my goals. It is during these times I am reminded of how my conscious journey on this path began, and it all began with a goal, a dream, a vision. I imagined and saw myself writing stories, I even had a couple of "false" starts or practise runs really. All of a sudden though, after picturing this goal and then taking a chance by sending my work to a publisher (scary moment) I now have three published children's stories, I get to write these blog posts to amazing people, I get to appear in public with faery wings on (OK, I would have done this anyway *smile*) and still get to teach teenagers math skills! Life's good!

So there are a few moments here and there where things look a little tougher than I would have chosen; imagine though, if I had never taken the chance after setting the goal? If i had not had enough belief (barely at times, but that was enough) in my stories, my team and me? Then, none of these amazing things I get to spend my time doing, would be happening at all.

Set a goal for what you feel, what you can "see" and what you desire...then take a chance (it really isn't much of a risk) and believe in you!

I believe in you, and I have enough belief for both of us, so GO FOR IT!

It's never too late...

There are so many things it is never too late for...

It is never too late to have the happiness and complete abandonment of childhood. It is so easy to let yourself slip into play, to laugh sing and be mischievous as a child. To run and jump, to love eating chocolate for breakfast, to chase butterflies, to finger paint, to eat your Milo with a spoon and put mountains of topping on a giant bowl of ice-cream. No matter what your "real" childhood was like, it is never too late to create the memories and experiences that make up a fantastic childhood. Try it out...the joy you can experience from a single moment of complete abandon and freedom in silliness is worth the little bit of embarrassment you might perceive.

It is never too late to follow the path of your dreams. No matter what stage of life you are at, no matter what has gone before...you CAN choose to change directions and make new decisions on the journey you would choose. In fact, a lot of these posts are about helping people to choose the path that suits them best.

It is never too late to ask the help of your divine team, to reconnect with the spiritual you and find the peace and beauty within yourself. To seek the truth and beauty of your own divine connection, and the trust and faith that you are protected always.

It is never too late for anything.

If you can think of anything that you would choose to do, be or say, and the thought follows soon after, "It's too late..." well, it's NEVER too late. Chase down that dream, say what you need to say, do what you need to do...it is never too late

Life's too short...

You know I have heard this saying so many times; "Life's too short..." and everyone who has said it has had their own ending to this sentence, the things that 'life is too short,' to not do, or to do.

This is a constant reminder I think, for us to be aware of the preciousness of the moments we spend doing certain things or avoiding others. I guess, in a round about kind of way, that is exactly what each and every one of these posts are about too.

So, here are the main things I think life is too short and precious to do without or to avoid *laugh* (with the side note, that everyone has their own list and mine is not exhaustive)

  • Life's too short to spend my time thinking about what others may be thinking (I have enough of my own thinking, wondering and discovering to do without trying to do someone else's as well)

  • Life's too short to spend my time regretting an action I didn't take, or one that I did for that matter. I cut the ties to any and all things that hold even a semblance of regret about them, and choose to move forward fearlessly into my next moment.

  • Life's too short to spend my time thinking about how to get back at others, to seek vengeance, to hate, to judge or in any other way negatively impact upon myself and others with my thoughts. Quite frankly, I would much rather have someone else to swap recipes, ideas, theology, conversation and all sorts of fun things with. An "enemy" can just as easily be a friend.

  • Life's too short to watch a heap of television...so many other things to think, explore and do!

  • Life is far too short to dwell on ANYTHING other than the beautiful, wonderful and love filled moments (even then, there are more of these moments to be had, so why stop to dwell when I can just create another one).

  • Life's too short not to take every opportunity to tell someone how you feel (if it's a beautiful, love filled thought) or to compliment others, be grateful for experiences that make you laugh and to reach out a hand to others in love and compassion.
So, there you go, my list of things "Life is too short" for to add to the list you have already seen, loved, and know for yourself.

This post was so much fun to write!

Make yourself a list, what do YOU think life is too short for? Then, the best bit....GO DO THOSE THINGS! YAY! What are you waiting for?

The snowball effect

Sometimes, just occasionally, I get a little curious about the statistics relating to my blog posts...it's the math teacher in me *cringe* At this point, I pop on over to the administration page that shows how many people have accessed my page in a given time period. It also tells me from which country people logged on from and the posts that have been accessed daily. Obviously there is no personal information etc. It's what math teachers and statisticians love the most...pure, cold hard, numbers!

I have noticed a bit of a trend actually. People seem to really like reading about items in the healing tool kit, but not so much about manifesting your dreams.....hmmmmmm. So the math teacher gets pushed to the side before she starts making graphs and "stuff" *laugh* and the angel intuitive takes over; contemplating why it is that most people read more about healing than about reaching out for, and making their dreams a reality!

So here's what I came up with in my ponderous wondering...

I wonder if the concept of making a dream real is either 1) too scary or 2) seems unattainable or unrealistic or (hopefully not) 3) that most people feel undeserving of this...*sad face*

One and two are easy to address I think. The thought that a dream is unattainable, or that it cannot be attained by simply wishing it to be so and focusing your intention seems a bit "wishy washy" to some people. Because I attempt to keep these posts to a manageable bite for people to read, perhaps I have not explained thoroughly enough how the concept becomes a reality? In my attempt to be brief, have I missed the point?

Let me fix that now *smile*

It is all very well to say you can have anything you desire and create your own reality, however, the truth is, that is really scary for most people. So here's what I do...
Each day for me (especially at the beginning of my journey) I focused on something small like, "all I want for today is to be able to smile more." I thought about smiling all day, I sought out opportunities to smile...and at the end of the day, I said, "Thank you for helping me smile more today."
Each day is broken into moments...each of these moments is important in its own way, and each reaches back to the one before it, and forward to the one in front. I focus, even now, on how much each moment means and say thank you.

I am grateful for short and sweet moments when things are not so rosy *grin*

Each day, I focus on one more thing...so now, I'm smiling a lot more and also seeing the beauty in what I see; seeing what I have previously missed etc.

All of a sudden, before you realise it, a whole lot of these moments have come and gone, a whole lot of new, wonderful and amazing things are a part of your life that YOU have helped to create...the snowball gets bigger and bigger one moment at a time until all of a sudden an avalanche of positivity, and astounding manifestations are happening all at the same time and people start calling you lucky *smile*

Just one thing, one moment...that's all it is.

Luck???

One of the things I sometimes get a little tired of hearing from others is, "You're so lucky!" Wow! This seems like it is an innocuous type of thing to say, however, the usual translation is something along the lines of, "You have what you have due to luck and not through any effort on your part." While this in itself is a bit of a judgement on my part, it is sometimes a little frustrating when other people feel that there is anything particularly lucky or special about me.

The secret to my successes have nothing to do with luck I can tell you that for sure *laugh* In fact, I spent half of my life wondering what I may have done in my last life in order to have "deserved" the treatment and lack of luck I seemed to be having in this one...thank goodness I have made the changes required not to have to feel this way any more.

So, do you want the secret to my success?

It's not that hard really, and there is nothing special about it.

My secret.....

I listen!

That's it, that's all there is to it. I listen to and follow all those little impulses and urgings I get all the time from my heart, from the universe, from the divine within me. I listen and I follow and that is all I do.

When you do this, then the path is laid out in front of you every step of the way. The mistakes are few and far between; the times when you have to turn another way or turn back on your life path, just get less and less.

Yes, you have to practise this skill and learn to listen to the difference between your ego and the sounds of your true heart...and yes, there are times when it is hard to hear and maybe the risks are fearful...but YES this is the whole secret!

Listen, trust and follow those little impulses you hear from your heart and your divine team, then every success you can dream up can be made reality.

Catalysts

Each light bulb moment (explained in yesterday's post) is a type of catalyst for each of us to move where we need to be in order to live our dreams. There are other catalysts though, some of which we can begin ourselves.

The process of manifesting all of the things, people, places and situations into your life that you could wish for and that you desire is really quite a simple matter and one in which we are totally in control. I know at times when i have heard this, or statements like this, that I have looked through the eyes of scepticism and phoo phooed the whole idea. However, where I am today and where I am going in the future is proof that the process works.

Creating a "dream" board with words and images representing the world you wish to create, making a list and using the power of words to create a reality, speaking of your dreams to others (those who aren't accidental dream stealer's that is) all have a tremendous impact on the future we each create for ourselves. However, the one thing I have noticed makes the most significant difference is having a catalyst.

Scientifically, a catalyst is a chemical or process (like heat etc) that makes a reaction occur faster than it normally would OR (and this is important so pay attention class *smile*) actually begins a process that would not happen otherwise!

If you've read some of my earliest posts, you would know that the significant catalyst for me living my dream as an artist and author was having a boss that bullied me so maliciously and without mercy that I had no options other than staying and going a wee bit insane, or leaving the situation. Not a nice time, a LOT of work required on forgiveness and learning. The end result was that, as I drove away from that town, I asked my team for assistance, guidance and protection, I really connected and listened hard because I was feeling a bit broken, battered and desperate not to have to repeat an experience like the two years I had endured. The message came through loud and clear, and on that two day drive, I wrote the first four books in the series....and here we are!

So, look to your "not nice" experiences and check to see if maybe they aren't a catalyst to move you on and get things happening for you.

As well as this, we can create our own catalysts. It is not enough to put your pictures on the wall and write a list! The most important thing is to TAKE ACTION! Yep, the universe will offer us all the opportunities we require and will keep doing so until we use them, our divine team will prompt us through dreams and messages ALL THE TIME, however, until we choose to take action, to pump a catalyst into the equation....well...everything will stay the same.

Set your Intentions

Once you have made the commitment to follow your path and commit to your true life's purpose; then you have to do something about it. One of my favourite concepts, and also at times one of my least favourite, is that we are in charge of our own path. We create the situations in which we find ourselves and we also have the power to change them.

The commitment alone is not enough; the desire to walk a path of love and forgiveness is not enough. Each day, you must take steps towards that goal and make it a reality.

Setting your intentions down on paper is a good way to start. Write down all of the things you desire, make a note of the life you want to lead and the person that you are in this place. Create goals that will bring you closer and closer to this reality. Writing things down has a power all of its own. It clearly signals your intentions to the universe which will then start putting opportunities and experiences in your path that assist you.

With this then, comes the free will part! It is easy enough to sit down one afternoon and write out the reality you choose for yourself and your loved ones...that's the easy part. Freedom of choice, being what it is, is sometimes the obstacle that gets in our way a little bit *smile* Once you have your intentions listed, you then have to CHOOSE the options that take you further along your life path. The divine can offer you opportunity after opportunity, but until you are ready to take action, nothing can change.

Prioritise your time in doing the things that make you the most happy, and your divine self. Resist taking the easier path if it doesn't actually serve your purpose. While the first step may be temporarily uncomfortable while learning takes place, and trust in your divine team develops, the outcome is really worth it.

We spend a lot of time, as humans, trying to meet and cater for the needs of others, and yet, we are the most use (energy wise) to the world when we are following our heart and acting from love. I'm not saying to completely discount the needs of others or act in any way contrary to those needs to cause harm or hurt; I am saying that prioritise your time so that 90% of the time you are doing the things, spending time with the people, and experiencing situations that are joyful and make you feel happy.

So, make a list of who you want to be, where you want to go and the world you wish to live in, then take daily steps towards that goal, keep your eyes open for the opportunities that will be presented to you, and then be brave enough; love yourself enough, to take them.

Move Forward Fearlessly

The message for this morning is a really simple one...move forward fearlessly! Move consistently and step by step towards your desired goal and on your desired path. Fear nothing, not the opinion of others, not failure, rejection, hopelessness. Move inexorably along your path with love, gratitude and forgiveness in your heart. This is the moment, this is your time to shine. Put your plans into action and take each step as it is offered to you.

The time is now!

Where to now?

Maybe you have made the choice to live a life from love and forgiveness and to remove yourself from actions of ego; and maybe you have written a mission statement of the person you are in your divine self (there is an earlier post on this if you would like to know more); but I can almost feel the question forming, "Where to now? What do I do nexzt?"

Only you can actually answer that question with any acuracy. I am sure if you take a moment to listen to the sounds of your heart, you will actually know yourself.

Where I went after making such a life changing decision?...Well, I chose to start dreaming dreams. I dreamt of the life I chose to lead, of the successes I wished to have, of the people I wanted in my life, of the adventures I could foresee. I spent, and still spend, a lot of my time focused on "dreaming" the picture I wish to have.

This is not wasting time or spending undue time in dreaming the future so that I actually miss the present time; this is a conscious manifestation of my future. I have a folder and a wall chart that has pictures, words and symbols representing this future and the path I take to get there. It is constantly changing with the needs of my heart and the people around me; but it is constantly in my view. I spend time focusing my intentions, drawing on the opinions of my divine team, and consciously choosing actions that take me closer to that "dream".

We are limitless within our imagination. When we enter the land of dreams and imagination we can be or choose anything. These are the moments in time when we are closest to our divine selves and our divine team.

You will notice of course, that with all of this dreaming and imagining, that not once did I mention that I was focusing on things I don't want to have in my life, or on things I wish to "get rid" of? That's because giving these things any attention at all is giving it or them more of my energy than is warranted. I spend ALL of my precious dreaming and manifesting time on the things I desire most and that I want more of in my life.

Dream, and dream and just keep dreaming and acting towards your dreams until the dream becomes a reality.

The Gifts we're given (Part 4)

The fourth in the list of gifts we are given as our divine birth right is the gift of creativity and inspiration. A lot of people ascribe some sort of rules and precepts around creativity. Art is sometimes viewed as an exclusive club which you are either talented enough to belong to or you aren't; and all of these rules confuse the issue I think. We are all creative and inspired beings...why can't we just leave it at that?

We are all born with creative flair which shows itself in different ways and forms. I have never witnessed a child, once given paper and crayons or paint, refuse to draw based on the grounds they are not good enough or their work lacks sophistication or whatever other excuses people give for admittance to "the club". This is our natural state, we can all be creative, we can all produce great art work in many and varied forms. It is only as we grow older and are conditioned by society to place "rules" on everything that we begin to doubt our ability to create!

My mother is a chef, and I would most definitely call some of the things she does with food creative; whether it is stretching a meal intended for 100 to feed 150 and no one being hungry, or the design and presentation of that food...this is definitely inspired and creative. My partner is a "chippie" (carpenter) and the projects he undertakes with wood are most definitely creative, from building a house frame to wood carvings and wood turning...inspired! Some of the things I have seen students in my math classes do with numbers is ABSOLUTELY creative *smile*

It is easy enough to tap into your creative self. (Yep...here comes your homework *smile*) Start with a list of the things you do, then think about how those things would be done by someone else, contemplate whether this is the same or not, why? what made you choose to do things a certain way? Cut, paste and colour a page of the things in your life that you desire, make a mud map on how to get there...start manifesting this reality by first creating the picture and therefore the intention! Alternatively, go and buy some paint and paper and finger paint for the afternoon!!!! So MUCH fun, no skill required, then put your painting on the fridge for all to see...I guarantee it will be beautiful and divinely inspired.

There are literally hundreds and hundreds of ways we are inspired and creative thinkers! What a gift!!! The ultimate use of this gift is when we create the life we wish to lead and through our inspiration and intuition manifest the things we desire and banish those we no longer need.

Put it in writing

I am often reminded of the power that words have, especially the written word. This is natural enough, since words are the medium I use daily to pass on the messages that I receive to others and to create the children's stories from the images inside my head to the printed page. However, just because I am an author does not mean that I am the only one (or this profession is the only one) who has the power to use the written word to best advantage.

One of the first things I learned on my spiritual, emotional development journey was to write things down. I use automatic writing (writing without thinking of the words; just putting them down as they come to mind) to purge unwanted thoughts and words from my mind. This is a really powerful tool. But also, and somewhat more importantly at times, to manifest into reality the things I desired more of in my life.

I started with a 5 year plan. This was meant to be mainly a financial and material plan of where I wanted to be in a few years in order to organise what I was doing. I wrote down that I wanted to be debt free, on the way to saving for a home of my own, be able to pay bills immediately as they came in (not juggle for who/what was going to be paid first and cutting it as close to the deadline as possible, sometimes over) to own my own car and have the means to purchase all those things I perpetually put off for higher priorities. In short, to be financially sure of myself. Within two years, ALL of these things became reality! I am not exaggerating for the purpose of convincing you, within 2 very short years, all of the things on my "wish list" were a reality. That is not to say I wrote the list then put it away and forgot about it. I had to put plans and actions into place in order to start the ball rolling, so to speak. But, as I said, within a very short period of time, these things were a part of my reality.

Emboldened by this success (which i didn't realise was such a resounding success at the time) I decided to write another list. This time, instead of only including financial and material goals on the list, I also included emotional, social and spiritual goals as well. Some of the things I wrote included, a greater understanding of my spiritual self, the characteristics I wanted in the "perfect" partner to share my life, the career path I desired and the skills I wished to learn within the 5 year time span. Do you know, within 18 months, all of these things were again a part of my reality. I met the man of my dreams (whom I am still devoted to and "happily ever after" with), I moved to a place that I could further my career, and I began what is the most momentous (so far) stage of my spiritual journey collecting skills and abilities as though they were fallen leaves.

Have you noticed the pattern yet? Basically, each time I made/make these lists, despite the fact that I put a time line of 5 years on them, the desires listed have come into existence much quicker than 5 years, and quicker each time. So, I imagine you can guess what came next??? Well, I wrote myself another list included a LOT more detail and all of the facets of my life from teaching, being a healer and spiritual writer, a mother and partner; you name it, if it was a part of my life (or I desired it to be so) then I wrote the goals, dreams and aspirations about this on my list. While I cannot recount for you yet exactly how long to fulfill this list (since it was only 12 months ago) I can assure you the prognosis is looking good. Already, over half of the things on my list have been accomplished!!!! Woohoo, yay for me.

This can be your story so easily!

A few notes on making the list...
It is not enough to write the list and then put it away in your sock draw with a prayer, hoping for the best. (Sorry folks, a little more work is required). You would benefit greatly from putting your list in a prominent place so that every day you can look at the items you wrote and be reminded that these are the things you have made a priority in your life. The more detail you can include, the quicker your list can manifest into reality. A great way to reinforce your list is by using pictures. Start chopping pictures from magazines, printing them off the Internet, drawing them yourself. These images will act as visual reinforcement for your mind and help to focus your intention on the intended goal. The last and most important aspect, is to be open to opportunity. I have spoken a lot about how the universe will act to help you in your intentions if you remain focused on the things, situations and opportunities you desire. This universal help will come in the form of signs, opportunities and openings that you actually have to take the first step towards. Writing your list merely opens your mind to seeing these opportunities and focusing your intentions, it really is up to you to decide to take those opportunities. (And why wouldn't you???)

So what are you waiting for? Log off your computer now (or open a word processing document) and start your list!

Put it in writing...

I have remembered a valuable lesson today! Sometimes we are learning so quickly and so many tings that while the lesson has been absorbed, we forget we have learnt it until it is necessary :) Well, that's the way it happens for me anyway.

So, what did I learn today? I remembered the power of putting a goal/dream in writing...

Such a simple, yet powerful tool. Words have power, writing something down makes the idea more concrete and also enables the universe to divine (and therefore act upon) you intentions in a  more specific way.

As well as your manifestation folder (For more on this see the "Manifestation and visualisation" post)containing images and thoughts about your future goals, try writing a 5 year plan...or even a 5 week plan. Test it out and see it's a reliable way to make sure your dreams manifest quicker.

A week ago, I typed a goal into my "status" on my personal FB page. I said my goal is to have a certain number of fans have clicked "like" within the month. I am VERY close to having this goal realised and it is only day 5 of the month!!!

This brings me to my second biggest point...and so important!

People are very willing to help you reach a goal and if they know about it, they will generally help in whatever way they can! By putting my goal on my FB page, I announced not only to the universe, but to my friends and family, what I wanted to happen. What did they do? They didn't laugh at me or belittle me (definitely not dream stealer's- for more on these see the "Protecting your dreams" post) They made sure all of their friends knew about my goal, and they gathered support for me. They helped!

I read a card once that struck me as particularly true. I regret that I cannot correctly name the source because I cannot remember who said it...nonetheless, it read:

"Every now and then we could stop and answer each other's prayers rather than waiting..."

People are willing to help!

Thank you Earth angels for your help and support.
