As the rain falls softly, cleansing the Earth and making the world seem fresh and new, I find myself in a bit of a contemplative mood. So I thought today I would share with you a poem I wrote when I was about 15 years old. It is really simple and unsophisticated by poetic standards I'm sure, but it does express exactly what I thought then, and still do now...
We are all the same
With love and light

Black as the Earth from which we all come
White as a lily warmed in the sun
Yellow as a sunflower
Red as a cold nose
But we all come together
And we form the one rose
We are all the same
With love and light
