Follow your "gut"

I'm sitting at the computer tonight with absolutely no idea of what it is I want to say *smile* I do this a lot, but today, I felt like telling you that *laugh* You see this is generally how it happens; I sit down, sometimes I know before hand the concept or thought I wish to express, other times, like today, I don't have a clue. Then, I start typing, I just type the first thing that comes into my mind with no thought to grammar or punctuation or spelling (that obvious huh?) and I let the words flow out of me as they will. This process is automatic writing and so many times in the past I have been given so many signs and messages from this very process.

All I do, all I have EVER done, is to follow my instinct, to let the words flow from me, let decisions happen and to let the world be by following my gut, by listening to those impulses and urges and letting them be my guide through life. Since starting this path, I have not looked back. Life all of a sudden became easier, decisions less difficult, money worries a thing of the past, and dreams have begun coming true.

This is it, this is THE great secret...follow your gut instinct.

I know it sounds simple, I know it sounds too good to be true, I know there are those of you reading this who will be SO sceptical of the truth in this statement....never-the-less, it is true all the same.

TRUST yourself, TRUST your divine team and follow the impulses of you heart and your gut instinct.

What's wonderful about the universe

Do you know what the MOST amazing thing is about the law of attraction and the universe and the way all we think can come true?

Well, it is simply that the universe, the divine, does not distinguish between things that have ACTUALLY happened, things we REMEMBER, or things we DREAM. True fact *smile* What happens is that the divine picks up strong emotive responses and the things we thing the most about...and then delivers us some more of that!

You know what this means right? The stronger you think about something, the more focused you are on that something and the more love and emotion you pour into the thoughts....the faster the universe will respond. It doesn't matter if it is something we have COMPLETELY DREAMT UP! Just pour all of your love energy and focus, train your thoughts on what you will have be true, rather than what you don't want...it's yours!

Cool huh? *laugh*

As an artist, my imagination is really fine tuned and practised at "conjuring". If that's not you, if you don't think your imagination is up to the task (which I don't believe about you, however it's what YOU believe that matters) then there are a heap of different ways to help your imagination grow and flourish.

You can put pictures of beautiful things around for you to view, you can get some finger paints and just have a great time with colour (who cares what it looks like?), you can lie on your back in the grass and find pictures in the clouds, pretend you come from another country and speak in an accent for the day (this is FUN), so many different things.

Grow your imagination, and watch your dreams and your life grow to match

A great list...

After yesterday's post, I decided to go looking for all those little bits of paper and notes where I had written all of those pieces of information. I am amazed I can tell you *smile* Some really, really, really good words, and I just know they did not come from me. So, I thought I would share some of these finds, it seems to me they would make a really great list of things to remember...

  • View the world with star dust in your eyes
  • Love and trust yourself and your intuitive ability
  • All the troubles of the world come down to a question of faith
  • In living your most amazing dream, you contribute MASSIVE amounts of energy to the world
  • Kindred spirits, lightworkers, band together...we make a difference
  • Accept compliments as the beautiful gifts they are
  • Release the need for servitude and embrace loving and genuine service
  • Happiness does not have to be earned
  • Offence from others is merely a transaction that had to happen...you may find this leads you to a place you wish to be.
  • No matter how bad things get, people still get hungry
  • It's not my place to judge
  • Being a healer for the world begins with a focus on healing yourself
  • Live with love, and pure divine intentions and there are no mistakes.
There were/are so MANY more...phew...these are just some of my favourites. I think I just typed in the list that describes the way I see my world and do my best to live by *smile*

A precious and beautiful moment

I think I have described before how I write these posts. I sit down at the computer with no for thought or planning and I automatic write. So, as the words come into my head, I type them. In this way, it is not just my story that is coming through, but also the messages which in some small way, may benefit all of those who read them.

No doubt, you have come across messages and stories here where you might have though, "Oh, well, not so partial to that one" or something like that, and this is actually perfect. What that means is, that the particular story or message was not for you! Cool..

Automatic writing was the very first way I came to know and understand the path I am on, and the divine beings who guide me through. I would sit down with pen and paper and just start writing with absolutely no thought to grammar, punctuation, spelling or any of those "proper" things, and then I would either read parts of it later that may jump out at me as I scan, or, burn it all without reading and thus rid myself and my energy of whatever toxins poured out on the page.

During the day, as I go about the "ordinary" things I do, I often get little messages that I know are destined to end up here on this blog. As I hear them, I write them down in a little book I keep handy. However, there are these precious little messages written in my diary, on bits of paper on the fridge, on the note pad by the phone, on my planning and all sorts of places. Wherever I am, I just write it down, forget about it and move on.

Usually when I need to hear or see this message, I will "find" one of these sentences written down somewhere, perhaps even something I use a great deal like my diary, but have never "seen" before, don't remember writing, and cannot recall what the intent or thought was behind it at the time, or even what I was doing.

I found one such message today...it read: "the miracle of life is that whether it is good, bad or a bit of both, the very miracle of drawing breath each moment, is a wonder to behold."

*I'll pause here for you to go..."WOW!" * smile..that's what I did.

This message is written in my last year's diary for October 25th. I had no reason to be looking in my old diary, and definitely no thought behind the action to pick it up, and go to the 25th October, yet I did, and this was the very special and amazing gift given to me by my divine team, written in my own hand *smile* "WOW!"

Other than the clear and obvious message to celebrate and cherish all of our experiences, this "find" also served to remind me that there is no such thing as coincidence, there is an amazing synchronisity at work in the universe, and all we have to do is listen with our hearts and intuition.... "WOW"

The ripple affect...

Every action whether large or small creates a ripple effect that crosses the universe! What an amazing concept. For me this means that when I choose an action, I make sure that it is one that, when magnified as it ripples outward, will become a humongous wave of love *smile*

We are also impacted a little on the ripples of others and at times get caught up in the repercussions of our own waves.

This could get confusing *laugh*

I guess what I am really trying to say, despite taking a REALLY long time to get to the point today (be nice *laugh*) is that when we act to treat others in a manner that is respectful, non-judgemental and loving, then this is what bounces back to us. Of course the opposite is also true as well, but I choose not to give that thought any energy.

Generate a love tsunami!!!!! Smile a lot, greet people warmly and genuinely (not just out of habit), open the door for someone, sing a little song to yourself as you are sitting on the bus stop, anything and everything that makes you feel joyous because joy is contagious

A well turned phrase

It struck me today that THE most important gift we can give another is a genuine and love filled compliment.

I go about my daily business, doing my level best to make the most of every situation, to fulfil my obligations to myself and to others (it's no mistake I put those in that order either) and to infect others with enthusiasm and the desire to sprinkle faery dust everywhere they go. I do these things because I believe with all of my heart that this is the right way to be for me. I don't do these things with any expectation that there will be praise for them. After all, a gift that is not given freely and without obligation, is not really a gift.

Having said that though, it fills my heart with immense gratitude and happiness when someone takes the time to not only notice the work that I do, but to say thank you for it.

Today, someone said to me that they appreciated the gentle and "nice" way that I point out that there may be a better way to do something (in relationship to my "day job") and that as a result they enjoyed working with me. What an amazing gift!

On a day where I was feeling a little bogged down in the day to day, and where my body is giving me signals that it's time to rest (by way of a monster headache...thank you body, message received loud and clear) I received this heartfelt gift and haven't stopped smiling since.

So, all it cost that person was a few moments of their time and a few breaths...the result for me was a warm fuzzy feeling leaving me happier than moments before!

Our words are an amazing gift to others, take the time to make yours a gift well worth receiving.

Whatever you tell yourself...

One of my favourite sayings in the classroom, especially in relation to math learning, is, "Whether you think you can, or you can't...you're right!"

You know we believe (or our brain does) most of what we see, some of what we read, and a bit of what we are told...however, we believe 100% of what we tell ourselves!!!!!!!

Make sure that what you are telling yourself, are the things you deserve to hear such as:

I am worthy

I believe in me

I can do anything I set my heart to doing

I am loved and protected

I am going to have a fantastic day today

I am strong

I am amazing, fantastic, awesome, special, great, enthusiastic and a super hero

It is safe and wonderful to just be me

I am perfect the way I am

These are the things you can tell yourself every day because they are undeniably true no matter who you are, no matter what you have "done" before, no matter what others may have told you...THIS, is the truth!

If you need an example...

If you need an example of a completely uninhibited being who is very close to their divine origin, who acts from a place of love and non-judgement and who loves and enjoys life 90% of the time, then I have the perfect being for you to observe....

Look to our children!

I am constantly left in a state of wonder at the "amazingness" which is our youth. My own children (of course *grin*) and also the students I teach and the children I randomly come into contact with down the street and just walking through our daily lives.

Children do not arrive on this earth with judgement, fear, anxiety or any of those other emotions...they are taught how to see those things. They are the PERFECT example of how to be close to our divine selves.

They are intuitive, imaginative, fun loving, free and creative. They laugh, sing and play for the majority of their lives. They are fantastic at entertaining themselves even if they have "nothing" with which to do that (evidenced by the ability to make a game up with the stones in the garden, or the paper off a present). They are rarely concerned with how "embarrassing" something is, they know what they want and just go out to get it, they don't understand the concept of "impossible" either...how many little ones KNOW they can fly if they can only climb high enough? *laugh*

It is not too late for us either! So what if somewhere along the way someone or something taught us to feel fear, embarrassment, anxiety and judgement? We can just as easily abandon those feelings too.

If you want to feel a moment of pure bliss and remember what it was like to be so close to the divine within us that you can touch it....play, laugh and sing, dance, jump, run and imagine as though you are still a child.

When you're feeling bad...

So, having ignored all signs from both my body and my divine team, I am now feeling a little "ordinary" and have the makings of a nasty flu virus if I don't take my instructions now, slow down and take some down time *smile*

This got me to thinking today about the things I do when I am "feeling bad" either physically or emotionally, in order to bolster my spirits and help me to feel better.

The main thing, the thing that never fails to help is to be outside in nature. I grow a lot of my own food and I LOVE spending time outside with my veggie garden. I also have a lot of green out in my courtyard and nothing makes me feel better like watering the garden and then sitting in the courtyard breathing in the smell of freshly dampened earth and feeling my plant friends grow *smile*

Nature is an amazing restorative. The wonder of an amazing sunset, the smell of freshly cut grass, the coolness of a forest, the serenity of a garden, the stunning and amazing beauty and perfection all around us. These things are not only soothing on the eye but on body, mind and especially spirit.

If you're having a moment where your body or mind is in need of nourishment, revitalising or relaxing, find a spot in nature to sit and just be. Don't try to "think of" anything in particular, or to "do" anything; just take in the exceptional bounty and beauty that is nature and let her restore you to good health and well-being.

When judgement takes over

We all make judgements, snap decisions, instinct, moments in time where we condemn another for an action that we don't condone. This is a part of being human, and difficulties only arise from this when we do not take the next moment to ask ourselves about this judgement, it's validity and where it may have come from in order to better understand ourselves.

In the moment where we let judgement run unchecked, and we forget to stop and look at the thought, action or situation through love rather than judgement is the moment when I feel we are the furthest from our divine selves.

I try to operate, make every decision and every action with pure intent to have love and forgiveness at it's core. However, I'm not always successful...I'm human.

I just wanted to take a moment today to point out the consequences of the moment where judgement takes over... in this moment, you give away the opportunity to love unconditionally, you give away a connection to another and the gift of compassion, empathy and sharing. When judgement takes over, you give away the gift of knowing another by walking in their shoes; a gift to you and the others involved.

To take it the next step, the repercussions of the moment where judgement takes over may be very far reaching. The moment when you make a snap decision to say something cutting, to use a tone of voice that is rude, to do anything which may harm another, not only means you give away the gifts you may have had for yourself; you also take something, a moment, from someone else.

We each walk our own path, we all have "battles" within our lives and things no other knows. Since you do not know this information about another, offer all you come into contact with the same unconditional love our divine team gives us. Offer love and understanding rather than judgement and condemnation.

Sprinkling Faery Dust

I'm off tomorrow for another session of faery dust sprinkling!!!! YAY.

"So," I hear you ask, "what is faery dust sprinkling?"

The answer? Anything that lights up the room, makes someone feel nice, loved and happy, a random act of kindness of some sort.

Every second Sunday, I go out into the world *laugh* to sprinkle faery dust and meet people. I love this time once I am there and speaking to people.

I set up, display my books, cards, crystals and other magic stuff and then spend the entire morning talking to, smiling at, reading to, anyone who walks by me. (I am set up at a legitimate market, not just randomly on the street...just in case you were wondering *smile*) For me, this experience is NOT about selling things, that's just the excuse for being there; the purpose is to sprinkle faery dust.

I have had the most extraordinary and wonderful conversations with little people and big people alike. I don my faery wings, take my note book and pens to sketch away when no one is there to talk to, and I smile away. At the same time though, I am focusing all of my thought on loving and healing energy. When anyone walks by, or comes in for a browse they are the recipient of this energy. This is a part of the light work I signed up for. I focus all of my intention on healing and loving. It is not necessary for me to DO anything else for these people walking by, just be there, be me, be focused, and an awful lot of smiling!

This light work is easy, try it out sometime.

Walk into your work place with a cake you made for morning tea and say good morning and see what happens. Smile all day long at everyone you'll see, and see what happens. Focus on love and healing rather than judgement and see what happens.

It is not necessary to have tools and equipment and "stuff" to help others, although if that's what you like, go right ahead. All that is really required is for you to sprinkle a little faery dust on them.

Making comparisons

There are two really BIG things that annoy me when I am teaching. The main one, is when people (and unfortunately not always the students) make comparisons related to progress. While I know this is a part of the process, it can be (if done badly) be also a massive part of the problems.

This same thing is true when we start to compare ourselves, our progress, our journey and our success with that of others! Aside from this being an "unfair test", which in Science terms means that all the variables are not controlled or the same for each test group; it is also an exercise in futility. You CANNOT accurately compare yourself, your thoughts, your successes, your looks or anything else about the MANY parts of you with the MANY parts of someone else.

When I am demonstrating an art technique, occasionally my students will say something like, "Mine looks like crap compared to yours Miss, I'll never be as good as that." My first response is to say, "You're right, you won't be, because you just said it and will make it so." The second thing following quickly after the first is to say, "I have been drawing and making for as long as I can remember, I have studies for three years to gain an arts degree and have been teaching art for another 12 years as well as my own private practise. How on EARTH could you, with your ten years of mostly unguided practise, have the same level of skill as I do? That would make you the teacher and me the student." Not very gentle I know, but the gentle approach on this one makes the students think you are just saying their work is good because you're paid to; so, on this one, it's a boots and all lesson *smile* Teenagers are smart, they very quickly get the point which is, "It is impossible to compare our level of skill in any way that might be called remotely accurate."

The same is true of all facets of our lives. No one is completely honest, rarely will people share all of the miserable moments they have experienced. More often than not, people share their highlights. So it should be too! I would much rather focus my time and energy on the positives, and I would much rather hear the positives from others as well.

What I am trying to remind everyone of is the FACT that we are all influenced in different ways by different things every minute of every day since birth. ALL of these influences add together to make up who we are and what choices we make, therefore, there is no way we can compare these things...ever.

The only person with the right to make judgements about you, is YOU (and even then, why?????) The only person you can compare yourself with is YOU. Look at where you are now, and look back ten years and see the amazing distance you have travelled. Remember this when you next go to compare yourself with someone else...what they have achieved (or not achieved) has NOTHING to do with your own journey. You simply cannot compare.

You are you, a precious gift to the world, and the ONLY one of your kind. If for no other reason, this reason alone makes you special, treasured and successful. So, just concentrate on being you...it is enough

Exponential curve of learning

Today was an amazing day...all days are amazing actually, but this one surpassed amazing into...ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! So, let me tell you why...

I am currently on "holidays" in a major city. For me (and I know travel does this to a lot of people) it actually means I am exposed to a lot of other people's energy, away from my home base and safe place, have the 'travel stress', feel some obligation to visit people or not, to be somewhere or not, to fit everything in to......blah...well, you know....I actually feel it is more of a holiday to stay at home most of the time, especially when I am travelling with a four year old.

Today, I woke the teenage light worker before 12 midday, I will wait for your gasp of surprise and shock *laugh* and managed to actually have him and the four year old, dressed, ready, fed and in the car by 9.30am (I know right...I am a worker of miracles) Then we headed off to visit an amazing, beautiful light worker friend of mine who also happens to write spectacular children's stories and colouring books. Being good Friday, we actually got stopped in traffic for quite some way. I was taking BIG deep, cleansing breaths *laugh* They weren't big enough. The gremlins were attacking from all sides, my blood pressure rose as I felt the travel stress of the people in cars around me as the impatiently pushed, and cursed. I felt the teenagers anger at being awake so early and his impatience and frustration at being in the car. The four year old started to act aggressively and be argumentative and meanwhile, I am breathing deeply, calming myself, sending out love energy...slowly, but surely my blood pressure rose higher and higher.

I sent out a thought, "Chamuel, please help us all to get where we are going safely, with patience and guidance, Michael help me cut these cords, Raphael help me stay calm, centred and free from stress, and for God's sake Gabrielle, help me with the four year old." I focused on breathing for a bit longer. The teenager went to sleep...phew...one down...the four year old started counting...phew, that made two....people started to feel more patient in the surrounding cars and there was less horn honking, illegal overtaking and cursing...phew...getting there. I then told the four year old to remove his gremlins. we discussed and new "Imagineering" technique we had learnt from my beautiful light worker friend, the "gremlinator" or "Gremlin transmuter" basically it works when you feed all those negative gremlin feelings into it and they transform into love energy to be released. My body sucked those gremlins in, helped them to change and then "spat" them back out again as love, the four year old did the same thing. We worked hard and just kept it up the whole way through the traffic. We said thank you for the traffic jam that allowed us the time we needed to finish the job before we got to my friend's house...YAY!

We then spent an indulgent, luxurious amazing time wandering around the garden of these beautiful people, talking, eating their home grown, love filled food and swapping energy, stories, learning and continuing to transmute those gremlins into love...yahooo!!!!!

These events, while awesome, were not the highlight...yes! There's more!

In the car on the way home I had the most engaging, awesome and fantastic conversation with my light worker teenager as he begins to consciously practise arts he has always done but not been aware of. We shared learning, understandings and wonderful energy as he joined the team! I tried not to jump up and down and do a magic faery dance, after all, I was driving *laugh* but I was so excited to watch his growth and experience the learning we both have enjoyed over the past few days.

It's never too late...

There are so many things it is never too late for...

It is never too late to have the happiness and complete abandonment of childhood. It is so easy to let yourself slip into play, to laugh sing and be mischievous as a child. To run and jump, to love eating chocolate for breakfast, to chase butterflies, to finger paint, to eat your Milo with a spoon and put mountains of topping on a giant bowl of ice-cream. No matter what your "real" childhood was like, it is never too late to create the memories and experiences that make up a fantastic childhood. Try it out...the joy you can experience from a single moment of complete abandon and freedom in silliness is worth the little bit of embarrassment you might perceive.

It is never too late to follow the path of your dreams. No matter what stage of life you are at, no matter what has gone before...you CAN choose to change directions and make new decisions on the journey you would choose. In fact, a lot of these posts are about helping people to choose the path that suits them best.

It is never too late to ask the help of your divine team, to reconnect with the spiritual you and find the peace and beauty within yourself. To seek the truth and beauty of your own divine connection, and the trust and faith that you are protected always.

It is never too late for anything.

If you can think of anything that you would choose to do, be or say, and the thought follows soon after, "It's too late..." well, it's NEVER too late. Chase down that dream, say what you need to say, do what you need to do...it is never too late

Compassion

One of the most beautiful things happened right in front of me on the weekend and I really want to share this moment with you.

I was at the park with my four year old and he was off racing around the equipment without a care in the world. Momentarily, my attention was diverted from him to a little boy (about 8 or 9 years old) standing really forlornly at the side watching another child play. My heart went out to him and I silently willed him love, joy and healing even though I was unaware of what had made him so sad. To my absolute delight and joy, not moments after I had noticed this little boy, so had another child playing close by. He came and stood next to the sad boy. He didn't say anything to him at first, he just stood by his side. He made a comment about how awesome the play equipment was, but the sad child did not respond at all. Next minute, several children came and were clustered around the sad boy. The offered words of comfort and offered all sorts of games and activities they would be willing to play in order to console this sad soul.

None of these other children appeared to actually know this sad boy...they were all strangers, so to speak. My own little one had also joined the group of well wishers and my heart sang to see my happy little soul spontaneously offer comfort to the one who was hurt.

Not for one moment did any of these children judge the sad boy, not once did they make fun of him or take away from him. They spontaneously gave of themselves; comfort, a shared understanding and an offer of games, laughter and happiness to replace the sadness no matter what the reason for it was (in fact, they didn't even ask why he was sad...it didn't matter, only the fact he was hurting mattered)

I asked myself in that moment, "How many adults would have acted the same in this situation?"

It is so important that we reach out to each other with pure love and compassion, without judgement and without any other agenda than to offer comfort.

Once again, our children offer us learning and a path that is truly divine.

Luck???

One of the things I sometimes get a little tired of hearing from others is, "You're so lucky!" Wow! This seems like it is an innocuous type of thing to say, however, the usual translation is something along the lines of, "You have what you have due to luck and not through any effort on your part." While this in itself is a bit of a judgement on my part, it is sometimes a little frustrating when other people feel that there is anything particularly lucky or special about me.

The secret to my successes have nothing to do with luck I can tell you that for sure *laugh* In fact, I spent half of my life wondering what I may have done in my last life in order to have "deserved" the treatment and lack of luck I seemed to be having in this one...thank goodness I have made the changes required not to have to feel this way any more.

So, do you want the secret to my success?

It's not that hard really, and there is nothing special about it.

My secret.....

I listen!

That's it, that's all there is to it. I listen to and follow all those little impulses and urgings I get all the time from my heart, from the universe, from the divine within me. I listen and I follow and that is all I do.

When you do this, then the path is laid out in front of you every step of the way. The mistakes are few and far between; the times when you have to turn another way or turn back on your life path, just get less and less.

Yes, you have to practise this skill and learn to listen to the difference between your ego and the sounds of your true heart...and yes, there are times when it is hard to hear and maybe the risks are fearful...but YES this is the whole secret!

Listen, trust and follow those little impulses you hear from your heart and your divine team, then every success you can dream up can be made reality.

Randomly beautiful and grateful

What a funny title...not sure who that one came from but it is beautifully quirky, weird and delightful...EXACTLY how I feel in this moment *big smile*

Today has been one of those days where every single thing I came in contact with today reminded me of the divine and gave me something to be grateful for. These things happen all the time of course, however, for EVERYTHING in a day to be this inspiring...that's a day to give thanks for.

The day started at 6am with my four year old having snuck out of bed, got bread out of the freezer and made me toast for breakfast in bed because (and I quote) "I love you so much my Mummy and I love to make you toast." I assure you, no one coached him to do this.

I read a status update of a friend on Facebook, and as per usual with this persons posts, my soul was uplifted, filled with love and somehow enriched just to know someone so divine.

I went for a drive to go shopping (closest large shopping area is one and a half hours drive away) and was stopped at road works all along the way. I saw so many things that I normally miss because I am focused on the drive. I got to read a sign I have been attempting to read on the way passed for about 2 years! So satisfying to finally read to the end.

I found all of the products I was after for exactly the right price in a really timely fashion. Everyone was friendly and cheerful at the stores as well...I am about ready to sing a few bars of the hallelujah chorus at this point.

I got home and had a 2 hour, glorious conversation with a very dear friend that was awesome and full of light energy.

I started the lawn mower on the first go and was so excited I mowed my neighbours yard as well for a surprise.

While I was out mowing the lawn I witnessed the most amazing pink sunset.

My four year old was a cherub and a beautiful light being who brushed his teeth, read a story then hopped into bed all without argument even though he devoured a chocolate iced donut just minutes before!!!!!!!!

AMAZING day with a thousand other things in it that made me see, understand, feel and acknowledge the beauty of our divine world.

Boundaries set with love and pure intent

I know I have talked about this one before, however, I do feel this is a topic worth discussing more than once. I love my current Boss and his work philosophy. Teaching is one of those industries that seems to facilitate burn out. So much to do, in fact, no matter how much we do, there is always more that we could have or feel we "should" have done to encourage and promote learning. It is a bottomless pit that you could pour yourself into forever and still not fill. There are other jobs that are identical to this as well such as health care workers, social workers and so many more I probably remain unaware of.

My new Boss said this in our staff meeting recently:

"You do the best you can knowing that you are the key factor for student outcomes. However, having said that, you are no good to us or to the kids, if you do not look after yourself as well. Keep us informed if you are having a problem because then we can help and support you. If you burn out, no one wins."

At this point I nearly leaped off my seat and launched into the hallelujah chorus *smile*

Not just in the work place, but ALWAYS, it is important to set boundaries around what others (and yourself) are asking you to do. There is simply no point in constantly giving to others and neglecting your own needs. All this does is encourage your brain to feel resentful and drown out the love messages of your heart. When you are over tired, every issue becomes bigger and more difficult to solve. When you are heart weary from constantly supporting others without nurturing and caring for yourself, then you cease to care about what happens to either. When you do not take the time to recharge your batteries and nourish your soul with activities, time and other 'things' that make you feel like singing out loud, then you are unable to carry on the work indefinitely.

This is about love; love of self and love of others. Taking time to care for you ensures you have the energy and spirit to care for others too.

Deliberately, consciously, lovingly set boundaries on the time you spend in all areas of your life to make sure that there is equal time for others and for you.

Creativity gives birth to joy

Have you ever had that moment in time, when you have just completed a task...specifically one that was challenging or difficult...and felt pure joy, satisfaction and love for the job you've done and the world at large???? This is because the use of creativity in a positive and loving way creates joy...gives birth to those feelings of "I can do anything."

It is a wonderful moment when something you have been aiming for comes to fruition and blossoms in front of your eyes!

I must take a brief moment to define what i mean by creativity. I am not solely talking about the arts, making and creating and designing. The act of changing one thing to another, or combining things to make something new, is how I define creativity.

In other words, whenever you complete a task...you have shown creativity in some form or another.

So this beautiful thing called creativity resides in each of us and we do in fact, use it ever day, every time we confront any situation, make decisions, make...well anything.

We are all creative beings, it is in our very nature to create, make, change and develop and in doing so, we "give birth" to immense joy and love.

The more you use the creative you, the more joyful life becomes...so get creating *smile*

Being centered

The most wonderful gift you can give yourself is the ability and willingness to feel centred, calm and balanced in the midst of a whole heap of "stuff." When things are not going the way you thought/hoped they might, when life seems to be taking you on an unexpected and less than welcome journey for a moment, you have a few choices about how you can respond and deal with these turn of events.

1) You can go a little loopy *smile* get really angry about the situation, lay blame, judge and all of those sort of things. Personally, I'd rather not take this option, I always feel worse and the moment seems to take a REALLY long time to pass if/when I make this choice.

2) You can trust. You can accept that this is only a moment, that perhaps in the bigger scheme of things, there is something good you can/will take away from the situation. Ask for the strength and support of your divine team, and float along blissfully waiting for the moment to pass. This is the option I would DEFINITELY like to be able to choose all of the time when this type of situation crops up. *sighs wistfully* I'm not quite there yet, I aim for this every time, however, I don't always get there...so...option three.

3) Aim for option 2! However, when this seems a little out of reach for the moment and you find yourself unable to COMPLETELY let go of the situation and trust to the divine, then take time to gain focus and recenter yourself to minimise the impact.

Take a moment to meditate for a few really deep breaths (this only takes a minute, yet it helps immensely). Close your eyes, breath in and out to the count of five. Gently pinch the pressure points around the edge of your ears (not too hard, it shouldn't hurt) the whole time thinking loving and forgiving thoughts; even if you have to think them "through gritted teeth" so to speak. Cut the cords that tie you to the situation, then start again to do whatever needs to be done. You can do this as often as you like, a million times a day if necessary to help you stay balanced and see things from a detached view point in order to keep your calm.

You may like this method, or have another that suits you beautifully. The important thing is to stop! When you find yourself getting caught up in the moment, your blood pressure rising, your heart hurting from what you are experiencing and judgements about the situation or people are starting to form....just stop, whatever it is, whenever it is...just stop and take a breath. The act of stopping, no matter which way you choose to do it, will actually release you from reacting rather than responding with your whole angelic self.
