Every day we make decisions for ourselves and for the life we are living. Things as simple as what to eat for breakfast or whether or not to even eat breakfast at all, what to wear, which way to go to work, the job we go to. All of these tings are a matter of choice. It is making the decisions about all of these things which actually adds up to the life we are living.
We are the creators of our own lives. We decide what happens to us each day, the kind of life we lead and the way in which we respond to things that are completely beyond our control.
Like all living organisms, a great deal of our responses and choices come down to two things...moving towards something pleasurable, or moving away from something fearful or painful. The problem with this is that we condition ourselves and allow others to condition us in making the determination as to whether something is truly painful and fearful, or whether we think it is. Luckily, this is the type of conditioning, that once it is realised, we can actively work to shed it and change this conditioning to something far more conducive to our highest good.
Your decisions and the choices you make today will definitely inform the way your own future unfolds. If you decide to be happy, to make decisions that are right for you rather than a fear based response, then this is exactly what will happen. If you decide that life is a struggle, that you will have to fight for what you want and battle your way to the top, then this is also what will happen.
The great thing about this concept is that you can begin by making the smallest decisions based on what will make you happy, things that will make no real difference (or seemingly) to your life and the world around you and test for yourself in a no risk way, how this will change anything. Make a decision to stop on the way to work to get a cake for your morning tea at the bakery and so be only 5 minutes early for work rather than 30 minutes. Make a decision not to take work home on the weekend and spend that time in pursuit of something that makes you happy instead. These seemingly small decisions, that make little impact on your life are easy to make or to change.
What really happens though when you start to make these decisions about how, what, when and why in your life is that you open the door to a new way of understanding the world and how you are the creator that decides on the way your days are filled. You begin to recondition yourself to make decisions that make your life pleasant and to look the way you want it to look, to be the life you want it to be, to have the things you desire to have.
You created your situation...however, you also have the power to change it, have courage and remember who you are, a loved and blessed being.
